The IICRC stands for the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification.

Through the IICRC professional training and education program, every participant
acquires the proper skills and knowledge to clean carpets, tile and grout, upholstery,
etc. (depending on the particular certification). Participants learn to do this
through set standards and business practices which are also learned through the
IICRC program. Not every company, especially in the carpet cleaning industry, is
certified through the IICRC, so be sure to ask any cleaning company if they are
certified before using their services.
4. How often should I have my carpets cleaned?
Most carpet retailers suggest having your carpet(s) professionally cleaned every
12 to 18 months. This is mainly to keep the warranty on your carpet, and without
routine carpet cleaning, you may void your warranty (check with your manufacturer/retailer
for further details).
