To suit our customers best, we offer a dust-free finishing system which restores
the natural beauty of your beautiful wood floors. Our professionally trained technicians
are able to clean and finish the hardwood floors within your homes with two goats
of waterborne polyurethane (which is a more environmentally-friendly solution).
To begin the process, the cleaning agent is applied lightly to the hardwood surface.
Following the application, the floor is scrubbed using a buffing machine with a
mild abrasion cleaning pad to remove soil and “etching” the old finish to assure
the new polyurethane finish bonds to the floor. The rinsing and removal of the soil
also prepares your hardwood floor(s) for the new finish, given that any soil can
alter the proper procedures. The process can be accomplished within a day, however,
extra time will be required for application of several coats, drying time, etc.
Can I be in my home during this process or is it not safe?
Yes, you can be in your home during the entire process. Our hardwood floor cleaning
and finishing is a customer friendly process, unlike sanding and restorative processes
(which can raise concerns of airborne dust, unpleasant solvent odors, and any other
inconvenience to you). In fact, you are able to have light “stocking feet” traffic
on your new floor that same night of your service!
*Some contents should not be reset on the new finish for a few days. Please ask
